so we need something to talk about here lol im going to be building my 8.8 over the winter and was ing about some stuff you guys might be able to help me out with.

i have a pair of revolver shackles ive been considering putting on but not sure if theyre going to be worth it or not because it droops decently but doesnt stuff well. should i sell them to put towards the build?

or would it be easier to keep them so that i could use the original upper shock mounts and get more droop?

what type of locker would you guys suggest for the rear?

do you a 120 mig would be alright to weld the axle with?

i plan on using a JB sye http://www.jbconversions.com/products/sye/np231j_std_sye.php

possibly a tom woods drive shaft

know where 2 jeep in stall kit http://www.knowwhere2jeep.com/driveline/know-where-2jeep-complete-ford-8-8-install-kit-for-91-95-wrangler-yj.html

and ill probably have to use m.o.r.e. upper shock mount extenders http://www.mountainoffroad.com/_e/Shock_Mounts/product/9950/9950_Rear_Upper_Shock_Mounts_87_95_YJ_s.htm

so what do you all ?

I have a 8.8 I'm gonna swap in.
I gotta flip the leaf brackets and use 1" wheel spacers since width is a bit shorter.
It came with posi but I'd rather lock it cause the clutch packs are not going to like me.

yeah i still have to move the brackets on mine as well. the difference in width on a yj is minimal at best so i dont have much to worry about there.

i was ing about getting one with lsd but i heard theres less aftermarket in those ones and lockers are more expensive

More expensive cause you gotta change the whole carrier ans set the gears.
That's the route I'm gonna take one day. For now it sits in a trailer.
