Bought my second XJ completely stock, and added a 2" lift asap.
then i added some 235-75-15's that were super aggressive, but were studded. wasn't happy with the look or performance

then, due to rust issues and my inability to find another 2dr, I replaced the floors with 20guage steel. The steel was really hard to work with, but I wanted to do it once.

while doing the floors, i helped a buddy put a lift on his colorado, and he gave his tires to me. they were almost 31"s, way better than the studs i was running!

awhile passed, I was busy working, and it was pretty cold out, finally put a woodstove in my garage though. Ended up doing a little wheeling, and took my 10 yr old stepsister with me, who is now hooked. Put a couple dents and scratches, but it's a jeep, ya know.
Finally bought some Hankooks, and the bug has manifested itself since then.
basically i just cut wherever the tires rub.

3.07 gears with 32's sucks all around, so when i had the money last summer, I switched to axles that we re-geared from a 97'. Since I had the axles out, I figured I might as well do the clutch too. And the brakes. And re-weld the exhaust. And...you get the idea. I also replaced the aal's and blocks with ome springs, that had been collecting dust. Also put in a no slip.
