You planning on regearing? If not, you're looking at loss of power if you go with 35"s. You have the clearance, so that's not much of an issue. Also 35"s will cost more.

I would say get the dayton timberlines, but Dayton was swallowed up by their parent company, and doesn't exist anymore. Great tire, lasts forever, cheap as hell (well comparatively to other MT in the same size). the only "problem" I have had with them is that due to a complete lack of siping, they aren't the best in the snow/ice. I hear rave reviews on the cooper STT, and the BFG KM2, but they aren't all that cheap. Goodyear is more often than not, overpriced and wear too quickly due to softer compounds in their rubber. I have heard mixed reviews on pro-comp, usually "I bought them because they had a sale, I ended up getting what I paid for".

Do you have something in mind?

I have the Cooper stt's. Only been on since August n the only real test for em was neapaug. I was in 2wd pretty much the whole day. There not really loud if u care bout that sorta thing. They look good but like Shane said they weren't too cheap. In a 33/12.50/17 they were a bit more than $300 each. I've seen reviews of ppl getting 50+k miles but if u play on rocks I've read they chip easy. Wet performance I'd say is good n that one snowstorm they were also good

i do plan on re gearing at some point but i was ing about it yesterday and i im going to stay with 33s for now so i can get my 8.8 in. and then by next winter ill consider either re gearing or swaping in a tbi 4.3 and go with 35s

so as far as tire preference, ive had a few sets of bfgs and some other brand mud terrains. nothing really bad to say about them but im open to other brands.

dont want an all terrain tire.
i can careless about noise
some sidewall bite would be nice

tires that ive considered so far
bfg km2s
goodyear mtr w/ kevlar
